Telehandler hire in Cyprus — what you get

Also called: telescopic · telescopic forklift · telehandler · telescopic handler · Manitou, Merlo, Roto · JCB Loadall

A telehandler — Manitou, JCB Loadall, Merlo, the "telescopic forklift" — is the workhorse of a Cyprus building site: it takes a pallet of blocks or tiles off the lorry and puts it on the third floor, carries bags and beams across rough ground, lifts a basket with two people to the eaves, and with a bucket moves sand and gravel. Up to 4 t and 17 m on the standard ones; the rotating Roto models reach 26 m and work all around themselves without moving.

It comes with an operator who runs it all day, or on its own if you have a trained operator of your own — the operator checks that on delivery. Forks are standard; a basket for people, a bucket or a hook go on the boom when you ask for them in the request. The basket needs people trained for work at height.

Tell us the heaviest load (a pallet of blocks is about 1.2 t), the height (which floor), and what goes on the boom. The machine arrives on a low-loader, so the way in should take a lorry; it drives on soil, gravel and slopes without trouble. Priced per day with the operator and fuel, cheaper per day for a week or more.

How it works

1

Describe the job

The machine, the height or the load, the address, the day. Photos of the site help the operator bring the right thing.

2

A local operator takes it

We pass the request to an operator who works in your area. Your request page shows when they accept and at what price.

3

The machine arrives

The operator brings it on the day you set, and takes it away when you are done. You pay them directly.

Questions

What people ask before their first booking.

Telehandler or crane?

A telehandler lifts pallets, beams and bags to a floor or a roof and drives around the site with them — up to 4 t and 17 m. For one heavy lift, something over a house or anything above 4 t, you need a mobile crane.

How heavy is my load?

A pallet of blocks or bricks is about 1.2 t, a pallet of tiles or cement 1–1.5 t, a concrete beam 2–4 t. The "Help me choose" link next to the question picks the band from the load.

Can it lift people?

With a basket, yes — the operator brings it when you choose it. The people in the basket must be trained for work at height; the operator stays at the controls.

With an operator or without?

Either. With an operator they come with the machine and run it all day. Your own operator must know this type of machine; the operator checks that on delivery.

How is it priced?

Per day with the operator and fuel included, cheaper per day for a week or more. Delivery depends on the distance. The operator confirms the total before you agree.
